We're behind schedule and didn't get "Elsa" done in 2017 but we've got her frame and chassis built, the engine is in, the wheel mounts are done and we've started on the interior. Coming along well and we have another big work weekend planned in mid-January.
The 222 is coming along nicely as you'll see here. It takes a full effort by many guys to get the work done on this project. It's fun and it builds a sense of Kameradschaft. See below!

The impression is currently being researched but below are some photographs of Waffen-SS SdKfz crews from the later parts of the war.
Wow, what a grind! Many thinks to all Frundsberg members who have been making the trek to Ohio to help out... special thanks to our Kamerads in 2nd SS Panzerdivision "Das Reich" (Aaron Helman and crew) for all their hard work. We are getting there!... much progress has been made in the last year!... The turret is installed the drive train is completed, the fuel system is installed, we just need some finishing touches and we should be good to go for the 2020 Season! Finally "Elsa" will be able to join her newly arrived sisters in the field!
10th SS Frundsberg is currently accepting new members from the Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and Michigan area. Click here to learn more.
10th SS Frundsberg has chartered the construction of a full scale reproduction Sonderkraftfarhzeug 222. As no 222's were allocated to SS-Panzergrenadier Regiment 21, this vehicle will represent one of the six 222's in 1. Panzer-Spähwagen Kompanie of SS-Panzer-Aüfklarungs-Abteilung 10 in the summer of 1944.
Construction began in November 2016 and is moving swiftly toward the target completion date of early September 2017. Seen below are photo's from the first work weekend.
