3./SS Panzergrenadier Regiment 21 "Frundsberg" is a living history organization, located in the Midwestern United States, dedicated to accurately portraying the life of the combat soldier of the German military during the world's most brutal armed conflict, World War Two. We are LIVING HISTORIANS, or "reenactors" dedicated to authenticity. This is something that our unit embraces and keeps close to heart; while we vehemently despise the ideals of the Third Reich, we do our absolute best to portray what we are reenacting. We eat, sleep, speak, camp, and fight using period equipment, weapons, and tactics. Our members come from Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Ohio, Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin. We have over 40 years of combined reenacting experience and our major events are public events (mostly educational), as well as private organized wargames (called "Tacticals"). if you think that this is something that you would enjoy and something you would be physically able to participate in, feel free to contact us via the "Join us" link at the top of the page.
The majority of our members all started in the same place, people who grew up loving World War Two history, gaming or memorabilia and were looking for another way to get more involved in an interesting hobby; for many of us, it gave us a way to meet other like minded people through a very diverse network of individuals. Our unit members are occasionally hired as actors in World War Two films, we participate in world renowned re-enactments with thousands of other excellent reenactors of all nationalities, and most importantly of all, our members have learned more than they could have imagined about World War Two, taught others what they have learned, kept history alive, and most importantly had FUN, and developed lifelong relationships and friendships.
